Where are you on the FM dial?
Currently, we are an internet-only college station. We are hoping to be granted permission from MSU's administration to seek a low-power FM license in the future.

I use a Mac. Now what?
Anyone can listen to the Growl, even if you have a Mac! The Growl stream plays on both Windows Media Player, and Real Player, so either will do. Both players have also been designed to be Mac compatible. Below you will find the links to download Real and Windows Media for Apple Operating Systems. Download, Listen and Enjoy!

I'm tired of sitting at my computer to listen to the Growl. How can I get away?
It's simple! Just hook your computer to your stereo. Head down to Radio Shack and get the appropriate cable. Ask for a "Y-adaptor"--"8th-inch Stereo to RCA." If that sounds like a foreign language to you look at the image below to see what the cable looks like. Plug the "headphones-end" into your computer's green port or the line out. Plug the red and white end into the matching input of your stereo. Inputs labeled "AUX" are preferred but labels such as "Cassette" and "CD" are fine to plug into.

DO NOT plug into inputs labeled "Phono", "Turntable", or "Record Player." Plugging into these could damage your system.

Still confused? check out the diagram below.

How do I join the Growl?
So you've looked us over, had a listen, and you decided you can't live another minute without being a part of the Growl. We don't blame you. But how to join? Joining is as simple as 1, 2, 3; as easy to learn as your A, B, C's:
  1. Attend a Meeting.
  2. Get trained.
  3. Pay dues.
No, really, that's it. We provide all our members with basic training, so special skills are not even necessary to join. Whether you want to host an on-air show, produce live local music, design web pages, promote, advertise, or whatever, you can do it at the Growl. Check the website for meeting times, email or call our station manager Daniel Walters today or 417.836.6286 for more information or to get started.

What is the Growl's language and content policy?
The Growl is a college internet radio station, and as such we maintain a certain level of decorum as demanded by our campus community. We follow FCC guidelines for FM radio, as we are striving to obtain an FM license. If you are offended by our content or programming, please contact us immediately with full details, including the day and time you were listening, which show, and specifically what you feel was inappropriate. Please include your name and contact information for a follow-up. Without the above information we will be unable to investigate the matter.

Do you have meetings I can attend?
If you are interested in joining the Growl, attending a meeting is a great place to begin! Our meetings are posted on our Home page.

Where are the Growl studios located?
The Growl studios are located on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. We are in Strong Hall, room 138 at the extreme south end of the first floor corridor next to the snack bar.
