Saturday Night Losers
In the literary history of the world, there is one
legend that transcends both culture and time. His
nationality varies and his lifestyle changes, but
there is one thing that remains constant: His name is
always Tex. The legend follows the same pattern, and
always involves Tex and his artifact of victory which
is mostly represented as a microphone of some sort.
His quest is always the same: To rock himself into
enlightenment.

Hey everybody! My name is Dan. Not only am I a professional football player and Broadway actor, I can speak 10 different languages and I drive a brand new Porsche. I enjoy sampling the finest wines in the world and spending every other weekend at my summer home on my beach in the Caribbean with 10 tan, beautiful beach bunnies. In my spare time, I enjoy being a radio personality for the Growl and playing croquet.

I like playing videogames, and roller hockey. Watching Futurama, and King of the Hill, and South Park is awesome...but I pretty much only watch the DVD's. When I was three I visited Disney World, and was afraid of everything and cried the whole time except when I was on the Dumbo ride. I thought you should know that. My favorite band is Blink-182, and you can tell Rolling Stone that my last words were.... I dig music.

I remember when... Not getting any younger, many of my stories are beginning to start with these words. The Growl is my baby. I remember when the audio professor of (S)MSU came into Paul G's office and announced his plan to petition for a student-run radio station using the newly available internet. Unfortunately he left us before we made his dream a reality. But nearly 10 years later, here we are. I remember when it was me and Ross, then JFotsch (that's right 96.5 fans, it all started here), the Headwound, Smokie, and now Tex. I remember so many others that have wanted to support us, but were unable to in any more than spirit. And I thank everyone of you.
Now I tutor the newbies in MED384. I advise the student organization that has formed around this station. And I host the most out-there, anything goes show on the web (at least on this station).

The E-Radio News Byte
I’m a broadcast journalism major with a minor in theatre. I like most kinds of music, I have a pretty big appreciation for film, and I’m convinced I could live in Barnes and Noble for a week and never come out. I’m the girl you’ll hear rattling off the eRadio News Byte “. . . because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words are the means to meaning and, for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth."
